    Milky white is used to describe a perfect skin. It is also used to describe perfect teeth. But milky eyes could mean that either a person has contracts or is dead. Milk has many forms but it is basically made up of calcium, proteins, saturated fat and vitamin C. Some milk contains more lactose than others.
    Milk’s white color
    Milk appears white in color because of protein which is called casein. It is made of fat and protein. In case it is mistaken for an optical illusion, eyes can see the white color of milk because milk has the ability of not absorbing light. The white pigment instead throws back the light. Casein bounces back the light into our eyes. The more there will be cream and fat in the milk, the whiter it will appear. Low fat and non-fat milk tend to appear grey because they have less amount of casein.
    Milk and human health
    Vitamin D and Calcium are the two most essential components of milk and these two make milk a healthy drink. Calcium and Vitamin D are good for our bones and make them strong. Milk is one of the healthiest drinks available for humans. Milk contains 29% calcium, 15% vitamin B-12, 23%riboflavin, 23% phosphorus, 25% vitamin D and 17% protein.
    The udder of cow is a source of commercial milk. It is then cooled down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Milk producing cows are known as dairy cows. They are fed and bred for producing commercial milk. The world’s top milk producing country is New Zealand.
    How cows produce milk
    Cows feed on special food that contains nutrients like protein, water, fats, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrates. These nutrients circulate in the cow’s digestive tract where they are broken down by enzymes.
    A dairy cow produces nearly 8 gallons of milk daily on the average but some cows produce more milk as much as 12 gallons. For producing 8 gallons of milk, it is must for a cow to consume more than 18 gallons of water.
    Milk and bone health
    Health nutritionists advise that a person should drink at least two glasses of milk daily to stop the beginning of osteoporosis, especially for those women who have given birth or are in the age of 60s. There is nothing which can beat mother’s milk when talking about perfect nutrition. The fact is that mother’s milk is also good for adults and for kids between the ages of 1 and 12. It is recommended that they should have three glasses of milk or its alike such as yogurt, soya and fish. Similarly, chocolate milk contains fairly the same amount of nutrients like milk except in the case of white chocolate that contains more calories than an ordinary bar. There are more artificial sweeteners in chocolate.
    Those teenagers who don’t like the taste of milk can choose to eat yogurt. One cup of yogurt provides all the nutrients of milk in addition to good bacteria. Those adults who are of the age of 21 or in their late 50s, it is recommended for them to take three glasses of milk every day. Smokers lose a lot of calcium and vitamins so they should drink milk regularly.
    Milk has fat in it but for those who want to keep their body in check, they should take whey milk. If a person is lactose intolerant like a lot of Asians then the good alternate id soya.
